Covid Date Ideas

9 fun date ideas for spring/summer 2021!

Run out of date ideas during COVID? We put together a list of fun and safe ideas so you don’t have to. Now that the weather is finally starting to get nice the possibilities are endless! So, grab a friend, a family member or a significant other and get going!

1. Have a picnic in the park

Bring a blanket, a speaker, some books, whatever snacks you like, and maybe even a bottle of wine - you and your s/o are guaranteed to have a relaxing time

2. Have dinner at a patio

If patios are open and the restrictions in your community are permitting, walk down to a local patio and treat yourself to a delicious dinner.

3. Get take out from a local restaurant

This would mean you are getting a break from cooking, while also supporting a local business - win-win!

4. Go window shopping

Walk around your neighbourhood and check out stores you’ve never had the time to see before. Make a list of places you would like to visit post-covid. Maybe even grab a cup of coffee from a local cafe!

5. Go on a day trip

Is there something you just keep putting-off? A hiking trail, a scenic drive, a dog park that's a little out of the way? Take this time to check out new spots close to you.

6. Go to the beach

This is the one we’ve all been waiting for! Grab some towels, your swimsuit, a reusable bottle, a book, and get to the beach!

7. Have an outdoor movie night

Set up a picnic blanket with pillows and warm blankets and maybe even some candles outside in your backyard. If you have a projector, great - but a laptop can also work for a cute and romantic outdoor movie night.

8. Go camping

Hit a campground for a few nights and enjoy some cozy nights around the fire; sleeping in a tent, day hikes and maybe even swimming if the campground is near a lake.

9. Virtual Date Night

And if all else fails, have a virtual date night Order each other's favourite dinner from their favourite local restaurant and watch a movie over zoom. It may not make up for face to face time but it'll still be fun!

Just make sure that you are abiding by the COVID regulations in your area and always make sure you are respecting the people around you! What are your favourite things to do on a date?
